thats true, but he couldnt not have taken mace at that point. if anakin didnt step in, there would be no episodes 4,5,6 biggrin:

Probably could have gone either way.

I think Palpatine was just faking the weakness. But even if he did have more power it won't do much if he has a saber blade in his brain.

lmao yep...the main reason why i think he couldnt have done anything else..is did you see how fucked up he got from the lightning? it totally almost killed him

I think Mace Windu coulda taken him, but the Emperor was totally faking. Look at how fast he killed off those 3 'Masters' that came with Windu. 2 saber thrust and down went the first 2, then a little block from the 3rd and he died.

Mace Windu's saber style is more about parrying and defending. He can take the momentum you swing at him with and redirect it back at you,hence the reversle of lightning. Most sabers just absorb the lightning and not fire it back.

Were the other 3 Masters? I thought they were just Knights.
