Yeah I was nervous as fuck.so far the mobo is in the case, the processor + artic paste stuff + heatsink are installed, and so is the memory. going to take a small break right now because I am starting to sweat. (90+ degrees here)

so if i ended up with that mobo, i cant get crossfire right? if i ever want to in a year or so.

and short hand, this is for work i wont be paying for this.

okay I think I am done. hypotheticly, if I didnt connect a power cable, or switched the volatage, and ground on some LEDs on the front, would anything bad happen? also, on my popwer supply I have lots of serial ata ones just sitting there unnocupied. did I do something wrong?

also, the cord for the onboard audio wont reach the place that it plugs into... anything I can do to fix this?

if your front side usbs from your case arent plugged in properly, it could kill the mobo. I had it happen to two of mine cry:

3rd pic connection is a 2nd mobo power connection

4th connection is power for a floppy drive

okay, I finished. everything is installed. plugged up what should have been plugged into the power supply. I just cant bring myself to plug in the keyboard/monitor and press power.

as long as you have the case power switch plugged in correctly you are good to go.

That DFI board isn't crossfire enabled, the DFI LanParty UT RDX200CF-DR Crossfire is the board you;re looking for, although the new rossfire chipset is due out very soon and is much better.

good/bad idea? I know its limited to 1 pci slot and will need to go sata hd way but is it good enough to slap a decent athlon, 256mb ati x800 and 1 gig of ram in it? Plus it says mini tower but im confused as if it uses a normal motherboard or the smaller ones like in the shuttles?

and with that memory 'DDR400 DIMM Up to 2 GB' and im usually used to hearing 3200, is this a bad thing or good?

350w psu is very adequte, im not aiming for crossfire, dual processors and 1235235 internal fans, plus its a MiniTower pc so guess what the recommended 'As for total wattage, buy a unit that matches the size of your system: MiniTower=350w,MidTower=380w, FullTower=450w and ServerTower=550w.'



anyway my final list ignoring the dvdr wireless and hd that were thrown in there to estimate final price.

Yeah, but that isn't an SFF case. Shuttles and stuff can pull off only have 350W psu because it can only have 1 cd-rom, 1 hard drive, and a very feature-restricted mobo.

The case you're buying is fullsize, but very compact.

My mid tower case has a 500 wat power supply.

My brother has one, comes with 16 pipes and can clock to 600\600 on the stock cooler, pretty good little card.

what is it with you guys and getting the newest cards...im sticking to my x800 Pro until i have need to build a better computer (in 2 years or so).

Depends a lot on the res and the settings you play at. Games like fear at high setting+res+fsaa need a newer card to play them properly.

need the best card for the pr0n. real women dont come in hi-def.

cry: cuss: I took the somputer over to my friends house. he checked everything out and I had indeed hooked it up correctly. We plugged it in and BAM, curcit breaker blew. so he flipped the switch on the breaker, and we plugged the computer back in. Same thing happened. We decide to take the power supply out and see what happens when we just connect the power to the power supply...... same fucking thing happened. We took it to another part of the house, because the room we were in had a lot of stuff already hooked up. We plug in the power supply and hear a small pop. Not like a fire cracker, just kinda like a relay popping.

long story short, we think my power supply is fucked. going to take the damn thing over to geek squad and have them take a look at it.
