i was coming off of a dxm high last night, chatting a bit with strvs and reading some boards of canada interviews around 7am. after my bed rumbled a few times i looked outside to see what was up and noticed a freak lightning storm engulfed the area. i ran outside and hid by a shop entrance to watch the show. after awhile i ran back and setup my camera for about 20 minutes, these are what i got

i love those effects...i actually practically any nonportrait picture looks good with that effect.

I think is just adds to the old-timey effects

yea i jus thought it was part of the effect.

the effect really compliments the atmosphere of the location, all awesome shots.

anyway, i've wanted to experiment with infared, but dont know where to get the film

the New Fujifilm S3 Pro can shoot in UV and IR....$1,800

BUT

You can make the picture IR with programs or filters, then convert to BW easily enough

in addition to the fact that i hate seeing it take away photos from the "photo album thread" and that there exists other more deserving threads that should be stickied (YTMND and last movie seen thread for example)

From this view the cathedral spire is just infront of the castle so it looks like a lil box with a pointy top in the centre of the pic. If you look closely you can also see that God has unleashed a giant firebird in the top left to crush my town...

Wow that's really cool, except for that town getting crushed part.
