Leafs have been the same for the last decade, no matter what they do they have trouble even getting to the Eastern Finals. They lost Nieuwendyk and Roberts, but picked up that with Allison and O'Neil, but then went and lost Leetch. So essentially they're the same team as a few years ago except they now are going to have to find chemistry and hope it sticks.

As for the man in love with concussions, Lindros, I think it's a huge mistake to bring him to Toronto. Truthfully, I wouldn't by suprised if he had a pretty decent season this next year too, but the next time he gets nailed he is done. If that happens, then you mid aswell had just dumped your money into Lake Huron.

In my opinion, most of the Canadian teams are worse off or the same as they were before except for maybe Calgary and Edmonton.

Well the last year I could remember that everybody thought the leafs had no chance to make the playoffs or go anywhere was '93 when we shocked Detriot but beating their fucking asses and would of made it to the stanley cup finals against montreal if the ref didn't fuck us over.

Anyways...Leafs are one of the lucky organizations that it doens't matter how we do, we'll still fill the seats...can't say that for most nhl organizations.

I just wish we can see a Cup win before I die.

Jeezus, you sound like a Habs fan. "Oooh, the refs screwed us over!"

The ref who did it appologized at his 1500 (I think) game he reffed that he made a mistake...Gretsky highsticking our best player and then scoring a goal when they should of been one man down.

You didn't suprise the Red Wings, that was in the day of Tim Chevaldae and Bob Essensa, that team was horrible and it took them a year to put it together. The Red Wings got 'shocked' by the San Jose Sharks in 1993-1994 season.

How could you have shocked Detroit in the playoffs without winning the Stanley Cup, they're in different conferences assfuck.

1992-1993

And Leafs were in the Western Conference then...Learn some history before you speak to me again.

Looks that way..and getting over 100 points in a season doesn't exactly make you terrible.

GordonHall 08-26-2005 12:04 PM

If I recall there were six other teams that had more than a hundred points, one was the Penguins and most people expected them to get another one. Plus, it was before the Red Wings had Bowman which most people in Detroit consider the turning point from suckitude.

Yeah, when they started buying everyone.

Yeah, when they started buying everyone.

2003 was the Stanley Cup Detroit purchased, but only after they got the money from other smart moves.

You really think that Lindros is going to continue skating with his head down? No, He even told the Media he has been working for the past year about working on his handling with his Head Up.
Hes going to be fine this year.

GordonHall 08-26-2005 03:35 PM

Like I said, I wouldn't be suprised if he has a decent season. Accidents happen though and it's not a matter of if he's more cautious now or not, all it takes is one hard off-balance hit for him to have his brains turned into scrambled eggs.
