His death had nothing to do with games though.

If your brain is starved of sleep for something like 3 days or more, you risk dieing from well, lack of sleep. his collaspe would be from his brain shutting off unable to cope muchlonger, and inevitably it shut off completely.

I hope this doesnt become a "video games are bad" case for the stupid activists. so in defence of video games; he could of watched tv for 86 hours straight, or read a book 86 hours straight, or played with cute little bunny rabbits, helped injured animals, fed ducks at a pond, for 86 hours and he still would have died.

I don't think anyone associated his death with the fact he was playing a computer game. As you said, if anoyne goes without sleep food and water for that long, you're probably going to die.

that story sounds similar to soemthing else i've heard before.

there was a women who was in a net cafe at taiwan for 7 days, she ddint go to the bathroom, didnt eat, didnt wash, didnt sleep and finally one day soemone dicovered her body and the guy who found her described how there were all these black moles and stuff on her face, pretty nasty, i wonder why anyone would stay on the net for 7 days without sleep, that's messed up.
