[quote="[1st] Maj.Sclass12":64a20]On Ogrish.com they have many movies (real btw) of the war with Chechyna ad Russia, theres two of Chechen rebels executing 2 russian soldiers by sliting their throats. One of them is real close up[/quote:64a20]
goddamn, they even have footage of the american KIAs. *sigh* hake: |
Ripley's Believe It Or Not aired a surgery procedure to remove an unexploded GP-30 grenade (Russian M-203 equivalent) from a soldier in Chechneya, that guy was damn lucky.
anyways, recent arrests in Spain shown that Chechens have links to Al Quaeda. |
Well its pretty obvious to me that the missile had to have had some kinda guidance system or at least be heatseeking. Can't see them just firing off one rocket at a chopper from that distance and have it impact if it was just a "dumb warhead".

Can't stand those fucking checyans anyway, that video of them killing the russian soldier really disgusted me. Russia needs to get itself together and open a can of asswhoop on that shithole country.

[quote:3a5dd]How They Work
The missiles weigh about 30 pounds and are about 5 feet long. They can fit inside a large duffel bag and can be fired from the gunner's shoulder. When operating the missile, the gunner aims at a target, starts the missile's power supply and pulls a trigger to activate the missile's target lock system. The total time required to fire the missile is six seconds. To strike its target, the SA-7 uses a heat-detection system to pursue a plane. The missile self-destructs after 14 to 17 seconds of flight if it misses its target. [/quote:3a5dd] So it does have a guidance system, i guessed as much anyway when i seen the smoke trail it left in the video. |
LOL, you guys thought it was just a lucky shot?
oOo: I wonder who supplies them those stinger rocket things anyways.. |

oOo: I wonder who supplies them those stinger rocket things anyways..[/quote:3c256] Well we all know that when russia was kicking the shit outta the middle east the cia had to stick its nose in and give the afghans stinger missiles to take down the russian gun ships. Id imagine they still have some of those as well. |

oOo: I wonder who supplies them those stinger rocket things anyways..[/quote:36e7c] It's not a stinger, they look different. I believe that the Chechens captured a vast army depot in the region during their first attempt at breaking away in '94 I think, when Yeltsin botched the operation and pulled the troops out. Being a border republic Chechneya would have had a lot of guns and ammo in various warehouses. |
You're correct.
Stingers have the laser-guided aiming console on the top of the barrel, which looks alot like an empty crate. This one is clearly rounded, and blunt at the end. More than likely, a Viper Missile system. |
I agree with old Reliable, You people are saying "owned" when some Russians just got killed, yet you don't go around saying "0wned" About those Amercian POW's that were excuted...

I guess they forgot to tell you the "peaceful" Chechens raided into a neighboring province and murdered civillians there, that's why Russia went back to Chechneya in the first place. |
