it isn't,
just that idiot of a Cheney fucked up with Tomcat 21 and we aren't getting a navalized F-22 so the Navy is stuck with Hornet.

Maplegyver 04-20-2003 04:58 PM

time for the canadian af to get combat ready planes oOo:

Megalith 04-20-2003 05:36 PM

The Mi-25 FoxBat can climb up above 90,000 feet.

The SR-71 can climb above 85,000 feet.

The F/A 22 can climb up to 50,000(Curse Paul Metz for being the first pilot!!! I am going to cry...)

The paper airplane can climb up to maybe 50 feet if thrown by hand from the flat ground. biggrin: But since there's wind resistance...

the JSF will be a good strike plane however the Navy will lack a fighter/fleet defender when the Tomcat's retired.

Well the F-18 is a good fighter, but the F-14 had longer range and more "brute force".

04-20-2003 06:47 PM

an Pheonix missile like the ones tomcats carry can engage up to 100 miles out

11 Bravo 04-20-2003 08:29 PM

Not to mention it can engage multiple targets at once wit dos things

cameltoe 04-20-2003 08:40 PM

Oddball 04-21-2003 07:12 AM

What about F1-11? Old but still outperforms some of the planes on the list.

Megalith 04-21-2003 07:22 AM
