i'm just asking because on the radio program savvy traveler they had a reporter go on the road and hitchhike. some people do this just to meet other people and learn about life. Just found it interesting...of course nowadays, it is difficult to trust people with more and more complexness in life

Yeah, in the 60's life was very laid back and you could hitchhike all over, it was the best and cheapest way to see your country. Now, everybody's a serial rapist. In fact, hitch-hiking is outlawed in this province.

I tried it once, when the ski resort parking lot was full, and we had to walk like 1.5 miles in ski boots. That sucked.

Nobody would pick us up, even in trucks. It was lame.

I dont think that counts as hitchhiking anyway.

Yeah, i lost a ride home from work once (construction site) and hitched back. I wasn't worried, who's gonna fuck with me anyway?
