Hmmm, im not seeing any signs of deflection along the main columns... I think someone is holding the edges of the books:)

Think like a raft. Make a big X on the bottom, with the ends of the X sticking out on the sides. If the building tips, this will keep it from tipping over, kinda like kickstands on a bike. Make fins like a rocket, so it won't fall over, like coming off the building at a 45 degree angle. I'll draw up something when I get home.
