Yes Mr. Levenstien you are correct. "Marine Sniper" was an excellent read, I really liked it.
I read "Warrior Elite" as well, it's a good book for those who want to know everything about BUD/S and beyond. |
Anything by Stephen E Ambrose, namely Comrades
Slaughter House 5- Kurt Vonnegut |

I read this book and absolutly loved it, my cross country coach/ ap english teacher/ former army ranger platoon commander told me about it. He was instructed by his senior officers to not read this book because it was what they werent suposed to...it advocated "cruel" tactics. Which meant they were all suposed to go buy the book at once and read up on how to fight and win guerilla operations. This book is so good, so correct, and so highly controversial that its not even in print anymore and they dont sell it in the states anymore....you have to buy it online.
Book title "Devils Guard" http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books I read my english teachers copy...before i go off to college im going to get myself a copy. |

And unlike most memoirs that are written 50 years + after they happend, this guy wrote this while he was a pow after the war. Everything is vivid and fresh and gives an acururate portrayel of life as a soldier in the waffen ss. |
