Yup, Athlon here too. No problems.

It was about 1/2 the price of a comparable Pentium chip.

Its gonna be used alot for gaming. But im also taking it to college so im gonna be doing mostly research and reports. Nothing to extensive. So yea, i think ill go with the Athlon.

Pentium is better for higher level/engineering level math. Athlon is better for games. The Pentium is like a Panzer IV tank it's slower but more robust while the Athlon is like a Sherman tank fast but not as much punch.

The Athlon's reaches the same speed as the Intel's, but at a lower clockrate.
Thats all the info i need to pick AMD any day. rock:
