Now seeing a movie once every couple of months is not so much of a stretch anymore.

We need smart filmakers again, original filmakers that know what we as the audience want to see. We need people like myself who grew up on the great adventure and Sci-Fi movies like Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Aliens, Predator...who know what they liked and disliked about these movies and use that to move foreward in the cinematic experience. But instead, it's all about money and appealing to young audiences, and apparently young audiences don't want to see blood, gore, actual humor (not dick and fart jokes), and most importantly REAL characters. They all seem 2 dimensional, all of them. Name one character you remember that stood out to you in the last decade besides Captain Jack Sparrow or Keyser Soze (some examples). Exactly, it's not about story anymore, it's about special effects and cheesey characters that are mashed together with no story to fit as many showings as possible in one day at your local theater. It's about money.

Point in case, AvP is 87 minutes long, and rated PG-13.. 87 minutes!. With credits, how the hell do you tell a story, develope characters, and keep the fans of both films happy in less then 80 minutes of film? It's an insult, it really is. I may be taking this to heart but in this case I am a big fan of both films and the comics, I grew up with them. And after 10 years of rumors we get this steaming pile of shit.

It's simple - Don't go to the movie theaters to see films....Nowadays they're just there for drawing in the ignorant masses, or those who are easily entertained (I go when I'm high - and that's about it). Rent a festival film, or go to a theatre which only plays good movies....(Down here we have, The Rialto and The Lido - Both play great festival films)....

I've seen some fine films in the last decade. Pretty much all of my favourites are from the last decade....

On a side note I recommend everyone to see Shaun of the Dead once it comes out here in the states. Either that or download it, it's very good for a British film.

We have sadly traded in drama and suspense for mindless action. annoy:

Just for reference, please don't pretend like the original Predator was a classic. I mean.. yeah. Just damn.

And of course this movie was going to suck. I mean, the premise of the whole thing is that they find a HIDDEN TEMPLE where there just-so-happen to be ALIENS and PREDATORS fighting a fucking WAR on EARTH for no other reason than to give us all ANEURISMS.

I hate people. Hate them.

The world needs alot more potential good movie makers like myself. I could probably make a better movie than this big pile of crap that came from that sewage dump called Hollyshit.
