i think we sould have single events then have 1 or 2 team
like grudge team, and grudge single,
we could also do the teams by country or continent

canada,usa,uk

Maplegyver 09-03-2004 09:30 PM

^^^ good idea

Judas 09-03-2004 09:35 PM

i think the whole team thing is gay.

Zen 09-03-2004 09:37 PM

hmmm.

Better responce than I thought I would get. Conscript will be making a new DW in the morning, so I think we should begin in about a week... maybe two.
Design Wars tend to die out after a few rounds anyways.

While Teams provide an authentic sence to the event, I believe that single achievment would work best. So I think it should work like this:

.Each person may compete in each event once. One entry per event only.

.Each entry should follow the sig rules laid out by AlliedAssault.com
(400 x 150 max).

.Each event will be judged by most votes. In the event that there is a tie for "Gold", an objective outsider will make the call for the win. ( Most likley White Rabit or Da_bain as they are both excellent artists and fair people. )

.Ties for "Silver" or "Bronze" will not be voted on, points will simply be awarded to both entries.(Hence the large difference in Gold and Silver points)

The Events will include:

Grunge Sig. Massive brushwork & tatered look style
Photo-Editing. Altering images & creating new image within.(see Strvs' odometer sig)
Band/Movie Sig. Music or movie themed.
Animation. Animated gif. No flash!
Trendy/3D. 3D or Anime or combo.
War Sig. War themed.

I am open to more events, but lets not get too caried away here.

Each Event will be done seperatly and the next will not begin until the previous has finished. Most points at end of last event wins the first AA Design Olympics.

A special banner will be created for the Graphic Olympian to where under his sig.
Gold winners may also create banners for their event if they choose to.

Any Questions, Suggestions, or Comments?

I am going to forfit my DW so the AA Design Olympics can begin earlier! My DW would be absolute shit as well cool:

Sirus 09-03-2004 11:11 PM

ya, WR is banned from these forums, and i thought the size limitations of aa.com were 450 x 150

Zen 09-03-2004 11:33 PM

Ok,

1st Fireal brought up the great point of AA failing "Voting" compitions.(on MSN) A panal of Judges would be much more effective.
So we will need a few judges capible of carefully judging each and all events.

2ndSirus, your right. AA standard is 400 x 150, my bad.

3rdGerv,

I think you, Trip, and Head-up are the only ones that deal with vidio and audio... It wouldn't make much of a compition to have them if no-one else messes with that media. I would be happy to add it as an "event" if others use that media as well.
If there are others please let us know as volume of users will have to determine the adding of the event, for fairness in the final outcome purposes.

4thAV,

Im also open to a 100% PS Event, but I think Ktog will own it! lol.

geRV 09-03-2004 11:36 PM

Buckweed fucks with video as well, im sure theres some others.

Maplegyver 09-03-2004 11:37 PM

Ok, I had no idea.

I will need some details from you on:

.How it is altered
.How long entries should be
.How to judge good editing

So I can create the standards for judging and rules for entries.
Some of us are 56K so it can't be anything too huge you understand.

If we can get the needed amount of entries, it will make a great event. Good call Gerald.
