i would say davids bridal or lands end. EB is just another store that sells games, they make their money mostly on reselling used stuff. hot topic has been around, but the whole goth trend could run out. but on the other hand, it could be a good place for him to make his mark in the fashion retail industry, if thats something he likes. nice selection of options he has here.
Just because you work for EB Games doesnt mean you get to play videogames for a living..

...stupid as it seems, I'd say Hot Topic. The goth trend is getting more and more popular, and theres tons of pepperoni-faced teens ready to accept Satan, black clothing, nose-rings, and Slipknot in order to make friends. You'll get more business there, that stores always stuffed.[/quote:a86c2]

wel to answer any doubts, he just quit from a big over seas bussiness and is looking for a job. he decided to put in applications into each of those companies to be vice president, vice ceo whatever. now, he asked me to help him out with an outside opinion, i said EB games. he may go to davids bridal ( loney: ) but he is really looking at EB. but the reason he can choose is because a: he is very qualified for any of them. and b: he knows the ceos.

I'm going with Land's End. It's already gaining more popularity with men aged 30+, and if he were to become Vice President, he has a great opportunity to escalate the company and compete with the likes of Ralph Lauren.

I would go with David's Bridal, because wedding dresses are expensive and I have actually heard of that store. wallbash:

I had no idea what this Hot Topic shit was until i saw it on Simple Life 3 last night.

Well I just did some research, and both EB and Land's End came in at a tie in the 2004 fiscal year, raking in about 1.6 billion in profits. Hot topic brought in about 570 million, and David's Bridal took in about 524 million.

And to put those numbers into perspective, the lowest of Fortune 500 companies bring in about 3.2 billion per year, and the highest (Wal-Mart, Exxon Mobil Corp) at 250 billion.

Revenue is not the same as profit. EB did $52M profit in FY04.
