Dude, don't turn yourself into a victim. I'm simply telling the truth, and it pisses me off when people rip ideas and get credit for them....Especially when the copy is totally average at best.

It will be a good show.....

But as TV runs these days.. Low ratings will hit, NEtwork cans it. Network promotes new Reality Television in its stead.

Ricky Gervais aka david brent brought it from the UK. So no, the show is not "ripped." Majority of Americans have not seen the original office - the ones who have, enjoy it. So how would it be a bad idea for one of the creators, writers, directors to come to the US and start another one which would appeal to the majority of americans..since the actors would be american, etc? They also couldn't play the original office on NBC because it'd infringe some contract I'd assume with BBC. The original show is on BBC America though, which is a pay channel I think.

Why couldn't they simply think up their own idea? Stop bullshitting me, you know what I'm getting at and it's so unbelievebly valid, you just can't agree with me because you think I'm some how attacking or insulting something American...That remake is a total rehashing, they got the characters totally wrong, and the first episode was almost a direct copy word for word. The majority of Americans see this show without seeing the original and believe it to be a totally new idea (which is fair enough if it doesn't get played over there)....
For some reason you don't understand that that's frustrating....

P.S - I'm not english and I liked it, I didn't need it to be remade with New Zealand actors to understand how exceptional a show it was.

Steve Carrell makes me pee my pants so i could care less about the rest of the cast
