Okay, after much Googling, the problem was related to a conflict with my mobo.

If you want a GeForce 6600GT - make sure you don't have an SiS chipset. If you do, you'll have to go to nZone and download a beta driver.

All is well after much ownage. I am going to go break this joker in now. rock:
