Sony has been making televisions for years so I would hope to believe they could make a more superior model than a computer company.

Ever see a 2405FPW? Hell, even a 2001FP? They kick the absolute shit out of the competition. Best colors, contrast, and viewing angles on the market.

Personally I hate Sony LCDs. Their color's are poor and the benzels are fucking huge... like CRT size. I see them every where at school and work and they just plain suck compared to my 2005FPW.

I think LCD is great for school especially in dorms. People with CRTs have thier ENTIRE desk taken up by the monitor whereas I could do actual schoolwork at my desk since my LCD could be pushed all the way to the back of the desk.

I really don't have much to compare to except to the old dell models. Basically when everyone bought their computers for college they all bought the dell model that came with the free flat screen. This screen is utter junk. It basically was a square that had little view. Unless you are planning on going all out on yoru monitor i really wouldn't recommend splurging on one.

Well yeah if it was one of those little 15" ones that they gave away with their shitty PCs, then yes they are horrible.

Their 19" and up LCDs are excellent this year. You can find the 1905FP for under $200 if you get some good coupons/deals.
