i had them from 9th grade to beginning of 11th. they sucked man, i feel for you

I had braces in the states for two years. I was only supposed to have them for 2 years. Then I moved to germany, and my ortho, with his "superior german methodologies" managed to extend my treatment time by two years, PLUS retainer time.

I had braces 8-9th (only 1 year) and they sucked. I was supposed to wear a retainer but never did, and I just stopped going to the orthodontist and he stopped calling.

I had braces for a year and a half in grade 10/11. It wasn't all that bad. Once I got them off I wore a retainer for a couple months, and now i just have a permanent wire behind my bottom teeth that I get taken off when I turn 21 i think

wait until you have to get the wire changed. the first few days after getting that were always fun happy:

i remember the first day i had braces, i had hamburgers and corn on the cob for dinner... my teeth hurt like a bitch the rest of the night (i never did that again)

yeah i had a huge ass meal right after i got them on, because an hour later i couldn't even touch my teeth together
