[quote="Sergeant_Scrotum":f3d8d]Good development but they will not be any good come winter as snow and ice will get in there and throw it off balance. It will be nice to not have to worry about regulating tire pressure from hot to cold weather.[/quote:f3d8d]

Obviously they would have tested it in all conditions, not like they can test it in one type of condition and automatically assume it'll be fine for every other weather condition.

and the wheel, goes round, and round

PS: WTF are our new smilies from 2 months ago?

Proteus 11-13-2005 10:22 AM

I think they'd be practical for dry arid regions, but it doesn't look like they'd help much in the snow.

as long as I can put spinners on it im set

I like how a bunch of you guys think you are smarter than the engineers who designed it... and I also doubt this was made to be "cool" for rappers and ricers, an airless tire has ALOT of obvious advantages.

yeah air is in such high demand now a days.
For everyone saying they suck, They have been tested, they work well enough for michelin to put them into production(or they will be very soon), They have a lot of benefits, and yes they will probably have a skirt on them to prevent damage to the interior.
IMO these will probably be a LOT safer than air filled tires. It eliminates blow outs, flats, leaks, and other air related problems. I would only be worried about dry rot and how long they will last.

doesnt look too safe to me, there are alot of potholes, speedbumps and dips here. if they become popular, it may drive down the price of tires, so thats cool.

Coleman 11-14-2005 08:11 PM

have them test it on PA's streets...that's the ultimate test ha

I just saw the tire on the new edition of Time magazine.

They said is still toooooo noisy for commercial use, it is being use on wheelchairs and military equipment.

I hope that it does not look like that, and enclose the thing, I think it would look better that way.

Pyro 11-16-2005 02:57 PM

spinnerz > all

Proteus 11-16-2005 08:35 PM

I like the look of the tire as is for some reason. From the side it looks fine, just any other angle it looks retarded.
