Ja, but Type X is a bit pricey. I'd be waaaaay over my $1000 mark, going for all X.

IF he was looking for some shiva's and koda's.. I would do so accrodingly.. BUT he is not looking for Adire Gear. He is looking for Alpine.[/quote:aafbb] Type R gear is definitly not upper end. Alpine has type X, then F1 above that even. Good setup nonetheless.[/quote:aafbb] If only it were within his budget :(. AND to be honest, a good box will make even the worst woofers sound good. I was moping around @ the local Timmy's tonight, and People were passing by, taking a listhen ect.... and then along comes a old friend from highschool. He brought with him a 500.1 with a W7, AND needless to say he was shocked to find out I had a R. He even enjoyed it more so then his own W7 . ed: |
Well shit, my budget is no longer near the $1400 mark, I had to drop some cash on a wiring problem with the plow that I wanted taken care of.
I'm now thinking a little at a time...buying a new HU (with at least 2 preouts for later on down the road), TypeR 6x9 2 ways in the front and TypeR 5 1/4 2 ways in the back for right now. Stock its not too bad when listening to a CD, but when I crank up the radio the distortion is unbelievable. I would tyr to install this myself since there's no sub/amp wiring obviously. Would this be an improvement over the stock setup for now, or would I be better off saving up some $$ and do everything at once as described earlier in the thread?? If this would not be an improvement, would front components help? I'm just wary of how I'd install them. Thanks for the help already, hopefully this will be my last question. |
