12. Rush - Xanadu
13. King Crimson - Starless

15. Steve Hillage - Salmon Song

To conclude, Frank Zappa is truly the face-melting master of guitar. ( list is in no particular order besides Child In Time in #1.. i'll update as they come to me.

Good calls with Zappa and McLaughlin (Mahavishnu)

I'd have to say...
1. Led Zepellin- Stairway to Heaven, I really dont like the song too much, but I've always felt the solo was perfect.
2. Dream Theater- Another Day
3. Dream Theater- Under a Glass Moon
4. Joe Satriani- Always With Me, Always With You
5. Steve Vai- Tender Surrender (AMAZING song)
6. Frank Zappa- Peaches en Regalia
7. Jason Becker- Angel Eyes (basically the whole song is a solo)
8. SRV- Texas Flood
9. Joe Satriani- Summer Song
10. Joe Satriani- Satch Boogie

in no specific order.

the end of Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits.

most of Joe Bonamassa is pretty good, he's a blues guitar player, with a slight metal influence.

also, pretty much any Lynyrd Skynyrd, they are awesome.

I don't think anybody's said Simple Man, but that's got a good one too. The multiple guitars in unison just has somethign about it that sends shivers down your spine.

The Outlaws- "Green Grass and High Tides"

Yes - "Starship Trooper" live version.

Molly Hatchet - "Flirtin With Disaster"

to name some more that always have good guitar,

Albert King, BB King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers (these bands are more blues guitar, which I think is better than metal personally) and there are always more...

EDIT: The Eagles, and the Doobie Brothers.
