Go to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist about over-the-counter melatonin. The effects are suspect at best, but some people swear by it.

Worth a shot if it's not too expensive (it shouldn't be).

i read about that, might be worth a try

i think its moreso that ive just got problems here at home, i dont have a job and im living in my parents house for the 2 months and change before school, plus the one girl i considered my sort-of gf who has been my ex for a while, weve been off and on and were planning on trying again is kind of dating someone right now, i dont know why that has me so down, ive seen her once since she got back from SAS, so thats once in the past 6 months, i think i have a problem with making mental impressions when i think too much and then they get the best of me

do what arkan said, but do some hardcore workouts when you're up. At 3am go for a 5 mile run and clear your head out. It's amazing how much quieter it is at that time of day.

[quote="Da_Bian":93811]get a night time job[/quote:93811]
biggrin: that would be the most logical solution.

Unknown_Sniper 06-09-2006 08:27 PM

either do what arkan said and stay up until the next night, or drink so much you pass out early. I would opt for the latter and its more fun and does the job.

Bucknub 06-09-2006 08:33 PM

i find it fuckin hard to stay up until the next night. (that's if I'm at home, which is most likely to be the case) Because I always fall asleep while watching TV, and being on the computer doesnt seem to work, because it'll get boring, and I end up crawling to my bed. So I rely on some sleeping aid pills, to help me fall asleep when I want to.

I'm getting to this thread too late to do you any good, but the best way to beat jet lag is with afternoon sun. There is something about being in the sun in the afternoon that sets your body's clock. I used to travel to Japan a couple of times a year and the guys I worked with over there came over here more than that. The best thing to do is to play golf, or do some other outdoor activity, from about 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Colonel tested. Colonel approved.

HeadUp 06-09-2006 10:30 PM

hmmm now that sounds like it would work, ill try it out tomorrow

i do know that i took a very short nap after i was outside for a little bit in the afternoon, so it sounds like it might be the cure

Himmler 06-11-2006 02:27 AM

last year when i was in australia i passed out at like 6pm their time and woke up at 10am. i did not have any jet lag because i slept for like 16 hrs.
