[quote="Da_Bian":ebcb3]dont know what car you have, but if its not efi then...
i've had the exact same problem turned out to be the fuel solenoid its basically a switch/valve that is directly plugged into your carb its duty is to supply the carb with fuel sounds like its failing and is cutting the fuel off occasionally its cheap as chips to replace. you could do it yourself if you wanted to. but i'd take it to a mechanic if i were you.[/quote:ebcb3] Was that on your Tierra or Moped ? His Eclispe will not have a carb :(. (Fuel Injected) -ALSO it could be your fuel pump, or a fuel problem in general, which is something to look at, I know fuel pumps give out on cavs quite often. |
possible problems
Fuel solenoid Fuel pump problem dirty injection valves water in the gas My 4wheeler has the same problem... it happens because the gas tank got water in it, rusted and the rust is clogging the fuel injectors. thats my hunch. Whether its rust or just some crud that got in it it sounds like its the problem |

no, it was on my 87 Ford Falcon and efi engines have fuel solenoids FYI |
Sounds like your right couple's bad. Just bypass your dry feed and all should be well. Doesnt serve much purpose, just tends to gum up the works when it goes bad.

Rofl, I bet you just made that up.
