I'm sure you can modify a map and add as many objects as you like, I think what Rudedog was saying was that you can only add so many different types of models.
To simplify the answer to the original poster's question: Server side mods are only possible for items of code that come shipped with the game. Any customized graphics or sounds or text must be downloaded client-side. Only objects that come with the game already, along with settings and variables, can be altered server-side (meaning you don't have to download the files, because, of course, they are already on your pc when you installed the game). That's it. It always will be, unless EA allow server upload options (but, even then, I don't think any game allowed up-loading of anything other than maps). |
SERVER SIDE
if you take a look into the pk0 file youll find a whole flock of stuff youd never imagine is the game someplace to add to your server side mod map..ive spent a lot of time in the file...dont know if i can pull it off but right now im tryin to get the german shepards in the single player game in my server side maps,,,attackin the players...now that would be a scream,,BUTCHER
