simple, it's his fault everyone thinks MK 4s are called "armored tank"

Well, I don't think all Rangers knew what EVERY type of f*cking tank in Europe was called. And even if they did, they probably wouldn't care in the heat of battle.....So it is still an accurate portrayal in my books....Just not for assclown-fanboys.

You try making a period movie with EVERYthing EXACTLY historically accurate.

Watch the motorcycle chase. Keep an eye on how many times the tires change. They start with a street tire rolling onto the island. Go to a dirt tire when Ethan gets the bike after shooting the guy off. Then its back to street tires. Then on the beach they give you a close up and there dirt track tires again. Small detail that drives me nuts everytime i watch it. Over all i think he takes things over the top.

John Woo fucked up Wind Talkers as well. IT was so fucking inaccurate and lame. It was so typical John Woo style. And worst they added Nicolas Cage in it as well. That lamer.

john woo isn't for people who take out the pad and pen at the theaters and write down every discrepency they see. he's for people who just like lots of action. if you are too busy measuring tread thickness or consulting your local library for history lessons you are missing that big ass explosion in the background. go see his earlier work, it's a lot better than some of his latest. don't forget the badass double-pistol packing guys he's famous for.

Spielberg is over-rated. Did anyone see AI. That's one of the worst movies I've seen since the Fifth Element.

as far as Spielberg films the only ones I liked were the Indy series (and that was mostly the work of George Lucas) and SPR up to the end battle (which had all of the movies inaccuracies) (maybe they were trying to hurry up and finish and were tired of making the movie all accurate and stuff biggrin: )

[quote="Sgt Stryker":db59d]look what that $&#@$!@# did with SPR, they call the mark IV a "panzer tank" once and everyone including MOHAA and BF-1942 call it a "Panzer tank" $*&$@%@#*(&@$%@$(*!@%^#(*

You do know that Panzer means tank, right?
