The first wave was literally wiped out. It was only on D +1 that they took the beach. and that video IS of omaha because of the cliffs. there were cliffs on each side and up the middle was the bluff and shingle. most boats sank and more ppl drowned in the first wave than were shot or blown to bits by 88's. many men sat in one spot the whole day because they were so tired. read the book "Battle at Best" by S.L.A Marshall and "The Victors" by Stephan E. Ambrose. Both the books tell what happened on the first wave. :Q
