hello everyone.

i've read thru every bit of this post. now when i saw the picture, i assumed it was CCsoccer. but as always, a name can be duplicated in MOHAA. now with that said, it also occurs to me that he could have possibly done it because of how personally he took it. I know how all of you work by now. Avoiding a tantrum like he gave is really necessary on these forums.

1. Crashing servers are for REAL pussies.
2. Cussing on these forums like that, gets you nowhere (i would know)
3. I hope a permanent solution comes soon to stop all this hacking business.

I am glad i left the cheating scene. Much more relaxing on this side of then fence. oh and before i forget, i have to comment on this quote.

A little offtopic, but I have this hack that's pretty cool.

I don't really have a strong block/firewall on my PC, so I run this proggie a friend from work made for me. It's cool as hell. What it actually does, is if someone tries to trace my IP address, or even any of my ports that are in use, it will begin dumping random viruses from a database into their PC. He's got a server with over 1,300 infected files on it, and this proggie just dumps them to whomever tries to access ur PC. Pretty wild.

He's working on a new one, he's telling me now. I'm laughing my ass off. biggrin: He thinks he can make one that will overclock the hacker's PC by 600mhz as long as they have a jumperless mobo. That would be real funny.

I agree that some cheaters are complete wankers and are the metaphorical derriere of society, but not all are like that. Take Mpowell for example. I believe and trust that he's stopped. He comes across as though he has stopped, now has an anti-cheat outlook on MOHAA, and seems an all-round good guy.

soz Joe but all you got is a nerd whos talking shit to you so he will appear interesting. people who are interested in "retaliation" against port scanning are confined to dimwits and those who have just put up a firewall for the first time..... this i can attest to after reading firewall and security mailings for about 4 years. its common and pointless.

what you are describing by way of "uploading a virus" to a system which has solicited a ports status on your machine simply isnt possible. if it were then nobody would receive email bourne virii since you could logically infect tens of thousands of systems in the time it takes a single sent email to get read by a recipient.

i can transmit gigs of virii at any system i want all day and it will have less effect on that system than pinging it.

As far as mpowell goes, I really dont care and I havent given him a hard time. He has admitted his mistake, owned up to it, taken the heat and time will tell if he means it. Sorry to disappoint you but I don't cheat or need to cheat. I just happen to have a wider scope on life - one that doesn't involve sphincter walls (Yeh, that probably means too much to a lot of you). What annoys me most is the arrogant nature of anti-cheaters. No one is better than anyone in life. (I personally dont believe in that statement, but there it is anyway). Everybody should stop making gay threats at each other. The truth is, that no on will do anything to anyone's computer, becuase most people will have firewalls and oter forms of protection. My IP is masked, so are anyone using most kinds of routers, so good luck. I find half the people making threats of hacking know nothing of computers. so just stop being so lame.

Also, hating cheaters won't make them go away. It will always be more popular to cheat, and easier to cheat than to anti-cheat. The fact is, cheaters create the cheats that you have to stop, and once you do, theres already a new cheat, just guess who doesn't know...the anti cheaters. As long as there is no aimbot for MOHAA then I think it will be alright.

actually the way i look at it, everyone has a different idea of cheating. every modder is in terms a hacker, because every hacker is a modder. it all depends on who they supply their releases to and for the purposes of what. you cant tell me that the medic skin with the big red plus on his head doesnt give you a nice target when sniping... the stupidest thing ea games did was allow forced models and not allow others to see your custom skin even if they dont have it installed. the struggle will always go on, and people will always bitch about it, but it will enver end. im not saynig this like an asshole or anything, but EVERYTHING has its holes... if you can make mods for a game, you can make cheats. and even if sv_pure "works" there will be a way around it. all sv_pure is going to do is hurt people who like to play with blood, custom scopes, custom crosshairs, sound mods, etc.

Now this is different. A seemingly well thought out reply that doesnt invite mass flamage.

However...

1. sv_pure will not totally eliminate cheats I agree. But it will make it harder than just editing a config file.

2. You completely miss the point that without guys like you and Powell releasing the damn cheats we might not need need sv_pure in the first place.

3. You allso cant seem to grasp the very concept of integrity and honor. By its very theme MOH:AA draws more of the older crowd (30+) than another FPS MP like Q3 or Tribes. For us its about playing and having fun with friends more than having triple digit scores. The concept that cheaters need to cheat in order to be good is abhorent to us. Players who cheat in order to feel good about themselves are absolutely pathetic. You have no defense and you will never have ANY respect from honest players.

You momos want to hack the game and see what you can do then fine. But the minute you use that knowledge in_game or worse yet fucking release your knowledge than your just a common cheat, a detriment to the game and the gaming community as a whole.

I saw your MPC site before it was taken down and what I saw disgusted me.
Dozens of little boys, pussies if you will, wanting to know how to use your cheats so they can convince themselves they have a penis.

Your kind will never be accepted here or in the community in general.

1. It won't help as much as people expect.

2. There is a demand for cheats; there are a lot of players who enjoy cheating. You can't blame c00kie for cheaters just as you can't blame Pistol Manufacturers for shootings. Programmers don't make people cheaters, they just give the opportunity. Would there be cheating if MPC was shut down? You bet.

I think most 'hackers' do it just to show off their work, and don't really care if their cheat is used in-game. It's more of a respect issue. The better the cheats you make, the more respect you earn in that community.

3. Don't tell people they have no defense. There are always 2 sides. I doubt cheaters want respect from this community; they just play to have a laugh. You know, fun, the very reaction the game was made to garner.

Don't question his character in real life, it has nothing to do with what you do online and we both know that.

He is probably:

A) An excellent person
B) A very good problem solver.

Two admirable traits.

Cheating is here to stay; flaming cheaters only gives them less incentive to come over to the 'anti-cheating' community.

And on another note, the MPC site wasn't shut down, it apparently got overloaded and is now undergoing maintenance to account for this extra usage.

It would have stalled the newer moron cheaters on how to get cheats and how to use them. Unfortunately it'll be back up, or another one like it would have taken it's place. M16:. Actually I didnt mean to go overboard like that when all CM did was give his views on the subject. I didnt start cussing untill I got into the little kiddies who wanted to use the cheats. Thats what I meant by character. The ppl who feel they must cheat in order to have fun with a game.

I'll reiterate: Nobody has a problem with someone who hacks a game just to see what they can do. The problem is with asshats who use that info not to understand how the game works but to appear superior to ppl who dont use cheats. Some of you "hackers" take pride in releasing that info for just that purpose.

And I stand by my statement...you guys who are oh so proud of your ability to circumvent the game and then make the info public are the reason we need sv_pure in the first place. If I cant use a blood mod or a scope mod because of it its the cheaters Im going to be pissed at. Redsoccerdevil has enormous talent in his own right but he doesnt use it to "cheat" the game.

You guys want our respect? Do what Powell says hes doing and find ways to prevent the cheats in the first place, not add to them.

yes, i am as we speak coming up with ideas on how to stop the cheaters in their tracks. lets see. there is AutoKick, Delator and DogTagz. what else needs to be done? any ideas? i am welcome to all ideas. i know some programming, so i could see what i could do. thanks

yeah i expect a good amount of flame by just being here. i actually come here to do legit modding. i know many people decide to cheat because they get called a cheater so much. as was the case with me. after about the 20th guy who cant hit shit says ooo he has an aimbot, you start to think well fuck if all i ever do is get blammed for cheating, then why not commit the crime. also, i know some things have been done @ mpc that were wrong. one was qcurve releasing his lodtool info... that was something we were not going to release, but he slipped up... thats the type of thing we shoulda just passed onto someone like crow and rude to fix BEFORE it became a problem. also, there are many things we cheat makers hold back... a long time ago i made a skin pack that did not have the need for forced models and you even had the color choices of neon red, blue, and green for allies and axis... i never released it. same with bobalololo he made some, well to not go into details, some skins that would completely ruin the game, so i was talking to him about not realeasing them, just as mpc went down. if you guys want a site to team-up against and stop, its UC - so many n00bs go there and get cheats... im not giving the url but you dedicated mohaa modders know where im talking about. like 2 hours after qcurve released the lodtool info, he removed it b/c he realized his error... yet after repeative emails, UC would not remove the lodtool info that they stole from the MPC forums. so like i said, its not as simply as black and white... there is a lof of gray area and a lot of people in the middle between the 2 sides.

This is why i love the AA.com forum and love playing on their server ppl like jasper and all the others who provide a cheat free FUN FAIR server to play on. Like Bazooka Joe says (and others) "if you dont like cheats, play on aa.com server or crow king's" if anyone cheats there they wont last long cool:

I'm accused of cheating on a daily basis. I sure as hell don't go looking for skins or aimbots. That's a pretty crappy excuse. You could take it one of two ways.

1) I don't like being called a cheater so I'm going to go cheat to make myself even better. I must be pretty damn good in the first place to be accused of cheating so, cheating is the obvious choice oOo: .

2) I'm that good without cheating that people think I do cheat even though they probably can't figure out how to change the time on their PC let alone know how cheats work. Take it as a pride boost, don't let it put you down. Just think about it for a second.

You must have been good prior to your cheating endeavors. I can find no reason why you would need to make yourself any better by cheating. But that's an anti cheater talking...-DaK

In response to my response, i disagree. Cheaters that i encounter aren't in need of the cheats, they are some of the better players, they just cheat cause its new and they can be the best.

Also, if you are 30+ years old and still playing computer games....
