hake: Most snipers I know dont brag with words. And besides this is more of a whos the the biggest ego thread than whos the best. Any if you want to find hte best sniper go to a DM game and find the Loner with a sniper rifle who is just sitting there watching that one area. At the end of the game He will probably have one of the best Kill to Death ratios. But at the old saying goes, there's always a larger fish in the sea.

After EA releases the next patch, you won't have to worry about custom .PK3's like this, since they claim they fixed SV_PURE.

True, sppose you gotta take the good with the bad. Id prefer to know im playing on a cheat free server rather than have the option of playing with a few skins.

sv_pure was cracked about day 2 of it being created, you can get round that as easily as you can get around the `im safe` cfg file mod.

You can even get around that `path` command.

The cutest anti-cheats iv seen so far are borderline spyware unfortunately, but whatever it takes right? biggrin:

Actualy according to eala it never worked right to begin with bcause of "botched communication between departments". Hopefully they get it working properly in the next patch.

There's one thing you have to realize about SV_PURE; you can use whatever skins you want, but they won't work on the server UNLESS the server has them. So, what you can do is just make a request to the admins of the server to get this weapons skin, or this model skin, etc. I think it's an excellent edition, if EA dosen't screw it up!!! biggrin:

unless i read that ea asshat's post wrong sv_pure gets rid of "useful hacks like crosshairs and weapon skins"

hope everyone likes the inaccurate POS stock ones. personally i'd rather take my chances that jimmy has a bright skin or bobby has a yellow sniper rifle skin.

actually Strik0r, taking those kind of risks is what got us here in the first place. too much trust is being placed in the hands of sour players (i speak from experience), so i say screw the skins and screw the crosshairs/scopes. if sv_pure will actually eliminate most if not all of the cheaters, then i say go for it. at least the game will then finally be fair.
