do we need labels for everything? ive been listening to a wide variety of sub techno genres since i was like six. "techno" was my first real introduction into music, and will always remain in my life. gabber, trance, hard-trance, acid jazz, ambient, and so many more are all part of my daily dose of music. call it what u will, i will always love it. the funny thing is, theres always something new out there.so many djs and artist out there with all a different style.

Yeah, it gets me to the point where I can look back and be satisfied that I've had a good time with my life, rather than be stuck in some fucking place I wouldn't want to be.

Old Reliable 05-02-2003 12:09 AM

well thing is I have already been to partying only. next year a great combo of both

Recycled Spooge 05-02-2003 12:23 AM

It's not called techno, it's not called cLub music, it's not called dance. It's called "Electronic Music". It divides into a few parts. These are...

Hardcore - Rave, Happy Hardcore, Gabber, Freeform... anything fast... lol (Beltram, Santana, Delta 9, Sharkey) I listened to this the most. Music from Raves...
Trance - Progressive Trance, Epic... All those other trances. (Rank 1, stuff like that.) This is often refered to as techno music and it plays in clubs and shit the most.
Drum and Base - Jungle, Tribal... some other junk(Old Prodigy, Dieselboy)
Techno - Electro, industrial...(Dunno who makes that stuff... I guess Westbam)
House - Progressive house, this was like the original techno music.
Acid - I have no clue into what acid divides into, or don't remember. I used to.. hmmm... (Don't listen to acid.)
Euro - Europop, Eurodance... bla bla... Dj Bobo comes to mind. This is like the mainstream clubber music.

[/quote:ef6a2]

Nope. Thanks for playing.

It is called techno. It is called dance. It is called club music. Just look in this thread. Its called that in numerous places and everyone knew what it meant. Now maybe the National Offical Music Genre Naming Authurity doesnt call it that, but whatever. Thats like saying there is no such thing as camping in MOH because it was a Quake term. You call someone a camper in MOH, everyone knows what you mean. Sure, it doesnt mean the same in Q3, but we arent playing Q3.
