[quote="Sergeant_Scrotum":a5a20]what happened to Neo? Did he die or did the machines keep him with them? What was Sati and how did she create the sunny sky at the end of the film? Her father told Neo that every program in the Matrix should have a purpose but he created Sati only to be beautiful. How did she create the sunny sky then?
Why was the Oracle lying on the ground after the battle between Neo and Smith? So the machines freed every human being that was connected to the Matrix, right? Oh and I almost forgot, how did they destroy Smith? I thought they tricked him but I was hoping someone would explain it for me.[/quote:a5a20] SPOILERS Neo sacrifices himself to Smith. The machines overload smith and in doing so, destroy every Smiths in the Matrix. Sati is a little program created out of love from two other exiled programs. She is the first of her kind and seems to have certain abilities, like the other potentials "ones". She creates the sunrise. Smith took over the Oracle but in doing so, gave away his leader position, as the new Smith/Oracle knows everything. When it is destroyed in the end, only the initial body remains. It's no different than when agents take over a body and get killed. The machines freed only those that wanted to be freed. Neo realized that the machines would use his body as a way of eradicating the virus once it took it over, so he sacrificed himself to get rid of Smith: very clever... |
I was thinking for a moment; could Neo be alive? But then I rememberd how he died, almost like Jesus on the cross. He was basically a martar. I honestly felt a tear when it ended cause there's no more Matrix movies....sad...

Don't worry... the Matrix CASH COW won't stop producing because the
trilogy is over. As the Merovingian so aptly says: "let us see where this takes us ..." |

SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE STORY ALTOGETHER, ALL 3 PARTS
|
Will a mod please slap the word Spoilers in the thread title?????
|
|
My friend summed up the movie into a simple explanation. The entire storyline is based on the same premise of when you trip and fall, get up, dust yourself off and say "I meant to do that!"
|
After seeing this movie, do you guys start to hate smith even more so than b4?

Humans build machines.
Machines want freedom. Humans laugh and point. Machines break off from rest of world to form 01. Ambassador makes peace offering. Humans laugh and point. War ensues; humans are enslaved. Matrix created as system of control for human power source. Design problems: anomalies created. Agents ensure proper control over anomalies. Some humans had escaped and created Zion. Those in Zion free a few humans. War for freedom begins. *this is ironic, considering the initial position of the machines* Oracle is consulted and a prophecy foretells of the One who will end war. *the following happens five times* The One is found and trained to go to the source. The One chooses to save humanity from extinction and sacrifices his code. The Matrix is reprogrammed to remove parts of anomaly and reloaded. At the sixth reload, Neo is found again. This time, a very specific experience compels the one to choose love for a human over humanity in general. This was not planned to happen. An agent previously destroyed by Neo grows more powerful as time goes and threatens the very existence of all life inside and outside the Matrix. As Zion is under attack, Neo goes to 01 and makes a deal with machines: truce in return for the destruction of the Smith program. Machines agree. Ultimately, the Smith program is destroyed, Zion is saved and Neo is now seen as the savior of all. The people still plugged in the Matrix can now go if they desire to and those in Zion are free to live however they want. The Matrix is reloaded for the seventh time. |
what my question is; how do you tell a whole society of people 'your life is a dream but now your free' I was wondering how they do that. For a while I was thinking they just unplug everyone.

No, hell no. They won't tell people about the nature of their existence unless an anomaly presents itself! Something that just doesn't hold is why the machines use humans instead of earth heat (like Zion does). They really just wanted us out of the way after the war and conveniently, we could also be used as a power source. That's why the Architect tells Neo that there are levels of survival they are willing to accept if humans died. They could use the same power source exploited by humans living in Zion but they wouldn't be able to catter to the entire machine demand unless they spread over a very very large area. |
so basically Zion is free to the surface world? How do they get rid of the darkstorm clouds and shit?
|

If they so desired, they could go back to the surface but due to nuclear winter, it's still uninhabitable so they will probably stay in Zion. They will probably colonize other areas as well... |
bah....they are so many other questions to be answered
http://www.matrix-explained.com GREAT breakdown solidus, shortest and simplest one ive seen. anyone can understand it now |
Just watched the movie. In my opinion I think it was excellent but the ending could have been better and less cheesy. The whole Neo/Trinity also spoiled the thing. But no excuse to hate it. I really enjoyed the begginning of the Neo/Smith fight scene but it got way over exaggerated with all the flying done. But hey I'm still glad that my 5bucks was worth it although I should have watched it in a better cinema and maybe if we're lucky we'll get Matrix 4.
Its one where you really have to think and it has a good/deep philosophgy embedded in it. The theories are interesting and the fight scenes were a bonus(but the Neo/Smith fight was like dragon ball and therefore pissed me off majorly) Dont listen to a fuck what the critics have to say, watch it and make your own opinion. Dont expect too much as well cause then you'll probably come out dissappointed if you do that. |
I'm SEEING IT WITH BUCKWEED!!!!!! SOON!
buckweed is gay I heard, I better watch out. |
I'm SEEING IT WITH PYRO!!!!!! SOON!!!
Pyro is gay I heard, I better watch out. |
I'm SEEING IT WITH PYRO ANd BUCKWEED!!!!!! SOON!!!
They're gay I heard, I better watch out. |
Im gonna chaperon Buckweed, Pyro, and Solidus to the movie theatre tonight at 9:15 pm est. I've brought my belt just in case they decide to act a fool. Last time we went to see reloaded, Pyro wanted some Skittles in the middle of the movie so i took em out there to get some and after we headed back to our seats, he decided that he'd call me a N*****r so i took off my belt and whipped him right there in front of all the white kids. They later took me to jail for child endangerment. stupid:

I personally Didnt like Revolutions.. Dont get me wrong, it is a great movie with great specail effects.. its just I thought The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded were alot better.
There were only two major things in Revolutions - The Sentinal War and The Street Fight with Neo and Smith. In the other Movies there were tons of more action and shit. The Mechs were awesoem looking in Revolutions and That battle scene was great, but the movie could have had more. I would have loved too see more gun fights in Revolutions, but sadly, there werent that many. Over all I would Give Revolutions a 7/10 and in order of my favourites, from top to bottom, it goes The Matrix The Matrix Reloaded The Matrix Revolutions and out of all the characters in the trilogy , my favourite would be Agent Smith, god I love him freak: Well, That's what I thought about it. |
My favorite character is, undoubtedly, assuredly and decidedly, the Architect.
(That's an inside joke...) biggrin: |
Agent Smith is my favorite character as well.

Matrix 10/10
Reloaded 7/10 Revolutions 8/10 |
The Matrix - ****/****
The Matrix: Reloaded - *** The Matrix: Revolutions - * Compared to the rest of the trilogy it was complete garbage. Everything leading up to and including the sentinel war was alright, but the Neo/Smith battle was ridiculous. Trinity's death scene was laughably bad... the worst part of the movie... the entire theater burst into laughter after she kissed Neo for the last time and thunked her head to the deck in death. The Wachowski brothers owe me $11. |
The last movie(revolutions) was good..but I still don't understand how neo was able to kill stuff in the real world aka those sentinel missle things. Lobby fight at the start was amazing. sentinel battle was at least 30 to 40 minutes long so i couldnt see why any one would say their wasnt enough action :) if i had to give it a rating i would give it a 8.5 out of 10. The ending just didnt justify the matrix trilogy at all. But besides that a spectacular job was done. beer: cheers !
|
On another note a good prequel should be made for the trilogy.
|
smell of shit : to teh point of extinction
|
[quote:7caad]Trinity's death scene was laughably bad[/quote:7caad]
I thought the same thing.. When I was wathcing it,, She kept going on and on and on.. I sed in my mind "HURRY UP AND DIE ALREADY BITCH!!" frig.. She had fucking rebar through her stomach and torso and wasnt in any pain at all, wtf was that? =\ |
Quote:
it wasnt load bearing rebar...so naturally those dont hurt eek: |
I just saw it, It was a pretty good movie but the
ending was somewhat anti-climatic. I think that for the plot to thicken the way it did in the first two, a few more things could have been resolved/explained in more detail........ |
A good theory for the entire triology is that the wachowski broters have made the movie based on the the christianity theory mixed along with Indian ancient myth for e.g
The Architect=God Neo=Messiah/Jesus Smith=Satan/Sin The whole philosphy within the movie is very similar and most likely borrowed the christianity/hinduism concept. |
