its a well known theory [/quote:bace1]

Theory isn't fact and proof isn't theory. I know what you are saying but that isn't proof of anything. Im not saying it isn't possible I'm just saying their isn't any proof.

Old Reliable 01-30-2004 02:43 PM

God is the creater of everything. He created the Universe and everything else.

It does? Hmmmmmm, could you point to me where?

Old Reliable 01-30-2004 04:58 PM

what other fairy tails come frfom the bible? we all came from 2 people - adam and eve....um......ok

Arch 01-30-2004 05:43 PM

i take the adam and eve thing as an explanation back then when they really didn't have knowlege of what had happened. Somethings are doubtful, some are worth to believe. It all depends in the mind of the beholde, or something like that . oOo:

ninty 01-30-2004 05:52 PM

Yeah, adam and eve is just a story to describe how people came to be. It's just a story. Thats it.

Its a scene from a british show. I love that actor he's cool. I also love the Quest for the Holy Grail.

Zoner 01-31-2004 10:37 AM

It's Terry Jones from Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life". He plays an insanely obese man, Mr. Creosote, who orders a huge meal, projectile vomits the whole time, and explodes when given an after-dinner mint.

"It's waaaaa-fer thin!"

Merlin122 01-31-2004 10:41 AM

misure(sp?) cresote. hes my hero. remember, its only one wafer thin mint ;)

Zoner 01-31-2004 10:46 AM

Well, how could you have anything without something to create it. To have space, someone had to define it and fill it with matter. The Bible says God created the heavens and the earth, what if he created the first blob of black matter or whatever you call it, then let it run it's course by way of his created system of physics? But, all I no is he created everything, I just don't know how.

BlackJackal 01-31-2004 07:09 PM

you. sry. didnt clarify

General Cobra 01-31-2004 08:51 PM

Well I for one have a hard time with the bible. Beleive me I wanna beleive its all true but science just seems to point to a much dif beginning.

But really, in the giant picture, the complexity of science and physics seems to point to a creator. I only say that because of the absolute impossibility that is life so says science. Makes you wonder. Or me anyway IMPO

Believe since which comes from man, or the bible which comes from God.

SoLiDUS 02-01-2004 12:48 AM

You're hopelessly enthralled, Duke. What has the Bible done for the good of
man ? Nothing. Science has given us all that you take for granted but which
is making your life a pleasurable experience. Your precious Bible is nothing
more than a collection of stories and suggestions to live your life by, not the
incredible written words of an entity beyond the physical world.

Putting on the spectacles of science in expectation of finding the answer to all things signifies inner blindness.

The earliest written work man has is called the Enuma Elish, this was written about four thousand years before Christ. It is almost exactly the same as the story of Creation in the book of Genesis. Much of the New Testament is fairy stories, but the Old Testament and the story of creation is the best thing that we have for an explanation of life & the universe.
