You're an idiot if you're going to waste all your money on a hummer at such a young age. Get some "fairly cheap" car like a Subaru Legacy (very nice by the way) or a Subaru WRX and invest the rest of the money. My uncle did some investing while he was young and now he has 3 kids that have been through college and all debts are paid, the house is paid off and all the cars have been payed for. He has no fnancial worries. If you invest your money now, you'd probably make a shitload of money once you're 35 or so.

I got to test drive a legacy last week. Wow what a ride. I still want to try out a WRX STi though... 300 + HP + All wheel drive must be one hell of a drive, espcially on soem off road endeavours. Always wanted to try rally racing.

Short Hand 08-17-2004 06:36 PM

gg fuckign double post fuck.

MrLevinstein 08-17-2004 06:38 PM
Lev.. that car aint worth it. On a year alone it would probably double its vlue in money invested in gas to fill the fucking thing up.[/quote:af4df]

LOL at work the silverado goes in with a full tank, and 100+ miles later it has a fucking quarter tank. But thats towing around 9000+ pounds, its to be expected.

Short Hand 08-17-2004 06:41 PM

still its 9800 $ and the thing is that it probably takes 20000 Grand + to fuel that thing for a year. Thats insane.

MrLevinstein 08-17-2004 06:43 PM
still its 9800 $ and the thing is that it probably takes 20000 Grand + to fuel that thing for a year. Thats insane.[/quote:dc424]

No, not that much. That tahoe probably takes about 45 to fill in ny, every 2 weeks so thats 26x45=$1170 And no way in hell youd have to fill every two weeks unless youre doing some serious driving

Short Hand 08-17-2004 06:46 PM

Round where I live people dirve 200 + KM's a day, they all work in Toronto So it is very possible, even if 2ok is an exaggeration, it is still insane.

My Cav gets 600 KM to the tank and costs 30.50 $ Canadian to fill up. My Dads 3.7 Litre Jeep Liberty costs 61.00 $ to fill up and only gets 535 KM to the tank... So this Tahoe must be a beast of a machine in comparision.

It almost feels like it should easily cost more than $30,000 (USD), but they're fairly cheap for what you pay for.

MrLevinstein 08-17-2004 06:48 PM

$61?!?!?!?! jesus christ, the silerado has around a 22 gallon tank and its a lot cheaper than that

Short Hand 08-17-2004 06:49 PM

61 Canadian.

Innoxx 08-17-2004 06:54 PM

Yeah, unless you work out in the bush, and contantly ferry 6 passengers in there with you then you don't need a big fucking 4x4 SUV. If you're just driving around the city, swallow your fucking pride and get a compact car. You don't have a family and if you're really who you say you are, you can't really afford to drop a few thousand on gas a year. Buying a gas guzzling ego machine will not do you any good. RRSP's and a well rounded out stock portfolio WILL do you good.

Sergeant_Scrotum 08-17-2004 07:24 PM

I never understood why people braged about their gas millage in how far they could drive on a tank of gas. Everyones tank is different! each car has a different sized tank! oOo:

elstatec 08-17-2004 07:25 PM

Yeah that was on my mind to.. I don't wanna blow all this money at once I don't know ill probably keep my jeep and buy my kids when Im old and gray the hummer I always wanted by then they might not be that expensive

and you guys I still live with my mom I don't pay bills, I don't pay for food, I don't pay for a house, for now my mom pays for my car (its a 1995 jeep) and all that till I move out. I keep $20 from my paycheck and put the rest in the bank

I got the idea from my 7th grade (or 8th grade can't remember) math teacher he told us start saving when your young you'll be a millionaire by the time your 21 or something like that

Arkan 08-18-2004 09:03 AM

Hummers suck, it's just a rap-gangsta wanna-be mobile.

Here's the best advice you'll get . Keep the jeep, invest your money to buy yourself a new crib. There's nothing like owning your own home.....screw the cars!!

Johnj 08-18-2004 09:26 AM

Sergeant_Scrotum 08-18-2004 10:22 AM

Id love a car like that, funny that things considered boring overseas are considered cool and uniqe over in NA

Nyck 08-18-2004 10:41 AM

I cannot stand new mustangs they have to be the shittiest most overrated car ever. Fucking only people that drive them are

A) diva blond stuck up bitches.
b) old diva stuck up bitches.
c) old men with small penises who are compensating

I hardly see any guys in their mid 20s driving them

which is suprising seeing as how I see 3984664794 of them a day

I also missed the part where owning a mustang allows you to drive 10 mph over the speed limit everywhere. I always wish upon them crashing and watching their fiberglass body explode into a 1000 shards of shittiness

draken_sd 08-18-2004 05:15 PM

id just get a mustang fox body cobra and put some parts into it i love those =)

Fiberglass bodies? What Mustang are you referring to? I know of NO Mustang with a stitch of glass in it...unless you're talking about John Force's funny car!

I guess when i'm driving my '07 special edition mustang (Boss, Mach, Cobra, Shelby...etc,etc) that'll mean my cock shrunk 7 inches? Well, i better stock up on Viagra now huh?

fujimi7su 08-18-2004 05:33 PM

wow nyck... thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard annoy:

just cause you cant afford a good car doesnt mean you gotta bitch about others mang

the new models cant touch the greatness of the old ones, but an '04 w/ a good body kit still gives me a boner.. .so do the mach 1s

i know more about stangs than you ever will so just STFU happy:

you just fell down a few nothces in my book man oOo:

also, i dont like it when stupid stuck up old people grab a stang and drive it around, but im smart enough to know the difference between them and a stang enthusiast w/ a GT and a decent amount of work put into it.
I feel like going outside and taking pics now... 95, and 04 GTs w/ body kits... all done by hand.... oh ya and im forgetting about the cobras

Corvettes on the other hand..... annoy: the old ones rule but the new ones are fuckin everywhere.... happy:

MrLevinstein 08-18-2004 06:13 PM

Bring back the F-body.

Get a firehawk

Nyck 08-18-2004 09:09 PM

just going by what I see around here mang....

I know dick about cars so hell it might be fucking platnium for all i know...

I just know only dick weeds and stuck up looking bitches roll around them in here not dudes who bust nuts over cars

as far as owning a new car...no I couldnt...I have bills and a family...my car gets me to work, has low mileage , and is almost paid off.

I would either get an RX8, Miata, M3, or a Z4 if I got a new car. IF I wanted a truck I would go with a Toyota Pickup(not tacoma), Landrover, or a Dodge pickup.

Since we're on the topic of cars....What car do you think I should get for my first car? Im looking for a decent, good car for below $10,000. It doesnt seem right...Godsmack just has to much money, maybe hes a drug dealer ed: . My parents are quite wealthy and could easily buy me a car, but they want me to work for it, ect., to teach me to work towards things, ect. I think it will be a good experience in the long run though...so, any suggestions?

Sergeant_Scrotum 08-19-2004 10:21 AM

dont get anything fancy, just get a neon, cavalier, sunfire or a dodge shadow. their all good cars that are reliable, good on gas, and cheap to insure.also unlike imports they are super easy to work on and parts are cheap to get when things do go wrong. but dont expect to break any speed records with any of them. just use it for transportation untill you get out of school and get a good full time job, then you can buy whatever you want and spends lots of money rock:

The engine compartments are so small and compressed, you have to rip about 5 things out just to get at one small thing, I guess the same could be said for pretty much any compact car.

fujimi7su 08-19-2004 11:47 AM

imports have gotten much more mechanic-friendly lately, used to be all special-order F-in parts, but its getting slowly better
