i have a samsung yepp and it holds about 40 songs and it costed me about 100$ cdn so thats like 5$ your money.

I have a Zen, it's excellent, my friend has an iPod, it's also excellent.

Just get whatever you feel you want, they're both good players, its just up to you whether or not you want to fork over extra money for something that does a few extra things then just play music. (games, organizer, etc (essentially the stuff you'd get on a pda, but worse))

i want something thats semi-cheap and i can hold like 100+ songs i dont have 400$'s for an ipod any other ones out there?

IPOD OWN ALL. I have had mine for 18 months now. I custom engraved it with my knife. Screw paying an extra 10 dollars. the_finger: I would highly recomend getting an ipod off of ebay. as the new ones just came out and you could find the older ones for deart cheap. My battery is fine so stop your whining about it. 10 gigs is enough for me but i store other stuff on there too like movies. I play them on the schools computers during lunch. rock: rock: quick question who actually uses the adress book and stuff on the ipod. Cause i deleted mine to get some more space. I didnt use them.

First off, i dont plan to put every single song on it. I usually just grab a CD, head to school and listen to it all day, switch the next. 1 gigwould probably hold around 100 songs. Which is plenty for every few days.
