Thanks. Shooting for a server Thursday nite. Of the 3 maps, Bloody Ridge was by far the most difficult to make, yet most people seem to like the other two.

Ok thanx to Balr14 sending me his maps i was given the chance to look them over.

Bloody ridge

Well what a fantastic job of creating the foliage that not only looks convincing but hes somehow managed to create this scene without any fps problem that normaly goes hand in hand with such greenery.
The huts look fantastic and very real to life, I would like to see more of these around the ridge as I feel thats all that is lacking.

Corregidor

Large map with underground connection, hard for Balr14 to keep the fps stable in these numerous wide open areas and the mtext of 45-50 may keep the low end graphics card players from playing it.
The map itself is again of high quality but I did feel that even though it may be historicaly accurate ? I feel it would benefit from "more happening" in the open spaces, also I would imagine that the underground system is not finaly textured as it could feel so much better.
I couldn't for some reason get up into the towers (only allowed so far up the ladders)
Think you know of the infamous shadow problem...anyone that had this knows its a right pain to get rid of.
A very useful looking map that just needs that touch more but I like.

The swamp

The swamp is again a fantastic example of much folliage and landscape without fps loss....i had to tap my screen to make sure my computer was registering the correct amount of triangles!
He has kept the tri count very low and the fps very high.
The enviroment is very very believable to the point that I was going to put on my Southern comfort video (any that aint seen that film should then they would know what I mean)
Its extremely convincing.

To summerise:
These are very well made maps by a talented man, the trees and folliage is certainly the best iv'e seen within allied assault.
I certainly look forward to the public release of these maps when totaly completed.
Well done great job.
Regards.
Seere.

Corregidor was quite a challenge. You get into to the towers by turning to the left. The towers and ladders are set at a 45 degree angle and the engine likes them best at 90 degrees.

I'd add more stuff to Corregidor and Bloody Ridge, but I'm sort of funny about authenticity.

Understand that entirely and you have done a great job thus far, my points wern't critisisms its just that having a realistic enviroment (that you have achieved) is not always conjusive to game play...now dont get me wrong there is many a good game to be had in this map its just that I personaly feel that for the loss in historical accuracy could be to the benefit of gameplay.
Once again a personal opinion and still congratulate you on a job well done.
Seere.
