Bertrand Russel

"I must, before I die, find some way to say the essential thing that is in me, that I have never said yet. I want to stand at the rim of the world, and peer into the darkness beyond, and see a little more than others have seen of the strange shapes of mystery that inhabit that unknown night ... I want to bring back into the world of men some little bit of wisdom. There is a little wisdom in the world; Heraclitus, Spinoza, and a saying here and there. I want to add to it, even if only ever so"

To die wearing someone elses clothes wandering the streets of Boston wasted out of your mind... What a way to go for one of the greatest American forces in litrature...

I got on his case about them because they had a part in the deaths of over 50 million people. That's the opposite of heroic. He respected single aspects about them...Or so he says...

I picked people like Willem DaFoe for the same reason you picked people like Edgar Allen Poe.

No. I'm comparing the reasoning to choosing an artist as a hero, one an artist of literature, the other, of acting. This isn't a debate on politics, so you should be able to understand it.

DaFoe, in my opinion is one of the more greater actors to grace the screen. I actively seek out films he has done, because for me - He is a pleasure to watch.

Oh, and when you're trying to catch someone out, it pays to use correct LOGIC....and to THINK before you post something stupid.

Judging by the way he takes penaltys he should be out scoring field goals in american football. the_finger:

Suzuki; a very good man.
I just downloaded all of Caral Sagan's documentaries on the cosmo's. I haven't started watching them yet, i've been busy watching a few on Einsten from BBC. I'll get to them soon because they look interesting (but a bit outdated).

I bought Sagans Cosmos off ebay for $90. Well worth it IMO. Probably the greatest scientific series ever created.

And, suprisingly, it's not outdated. There are a few things, but as long as the 80's graphics don't bother you, everything is correct. On my DVD's they have a little sequence afterward with ann duran describing if somethings changed since then. There are probably little sequences after half of the episodes. Most things have stayed current. I was quite surpised.

I highly recommend the series.

Great book. I remember parts of it and it was probably like 15 years ago that I read it. The part where the pilot get shot in the helmet and the bullet whizzes around the inside the shell before exiting sticks out.
