My first job (and also my current job) I got at the age of 17.
I work as a swimming instructor and a lifeguard...and now Im a head guard and work mostly daytime...and my pay is s much better than when I started. I started at 6.85 an hour for instructing (though i was an assitant doing my own classes...normally with instructors id be making 7.45) and for guarding i made uh 6.95 i think. Now I make 9.10 instructing, 8.50 head guarding, 8.05 guarding, daytime I get $13...and if im head in the daytime i make 13.80. Easiest job in the world. |

biggrin: I do have a problem with than and then. If i think about it when writing a sentance i get it right, but if im flying through it i usually fuck it up. |
First job at 13... Making popcorn (kettle corn) at a farmer's market (5.00/hour). Before that though I delivered newspapers (lol I had 7 papers, which I had to deliver at 6am, so I quit).
Next job was landscaping when I was 14, then last summer I moved to Tahsis, BC (on Vancouver island; its a village with 300 people without counting all the fishermen), and did construction/renovation there (I did a bit of everything actually, like electrical work and plumbing). Uhh, then I took a job at Axxess Industries, in which I do a wide range of stuff from light manufacturing, boxing and shipping, operating machinery, and working with metal sheets, and acrylic. They make [url=http://axxessind.com/:d2151]these.[/url:d2151] I got 9/hr for that, and I still work for them occasionaly. Now, I'm working with my grandpa doing electrical apprenticeship (he owns Prime Electric), and this summer I'll be moving to Calgary to do some construction work. |
