Mass media only reports bad things - If you're constantly tuned into it, you're only hearing and seeing bad things done by so called bad people. People like him have formed a simple opinion and come to the simple conclusion based on what they make of these journalists' stories.

It may not be the intention of the journalists, but he's obviously been watching the news too much which has just infuriated him from constantly seeing reports about muslim extremists. If that's all you're getting from the muslim world, then a SIMPLE person is going to make the conclusion that they're all like that.
I'm pretty sure he doesn't know "they're all like that" from experience. Thus, I advise him he is watching to much news....and yes, there is such a thing as too much news (for those of us that aren't as cynical about what they see)...

the media isn't responsible for creating Cobra's intolerance. They portray extremist muslims and their cruel acts, but they emphasize that they are extremists and the journalists are always insistent on political correctness and making sure that people know it is the extremists who are doing these things and they try to make sure people know it isn't all muslims who are doing it. it's not their fault that cobra hears "muslim" and automatically associates them solely with extremists.

It's not there fault he got confused, the news is usually very PC about the muslim issue and tries to make it clear that it is the extremists who are doing the bad things, etc. Cobra getting confused by that and hating all muslims isn't the responsibility of the media, they've made it hard for that conclusion to be reached, he just somehow reached it. basically, I don't think the media should be blamed because they take the precaution so people don't get the idea cobra has, but he is just more simple than the average person or seomthing so he got the idea he has, but they can't be responsible for that, he's just overly simple.

I said HE should stop watching the media. I said that BECAUSE he is misreading the reports about muslims because HE is simple and doesn't understand that just because the only things he hears about the muslim world is news reports about MUSLIM EXTREMISTS it does not mean they are all like that.
