maybe ill give it a try, i played my friends copy of hl2 installed on my comp under his account and finished it before he changed his steam password

i thought hl2's enemies were too repetitive tho, the environments were pretty good, but the preview for episode one didnt seem like there was much new to it from hl2...

and this picks up where hl2 left off right?

Well you're facing an invading army so i wouldn't expect a ton of variety in army soldiers. there were differences though, metro cops, smg's shotguns, combine elites striders, gunships, dropships, then the prison varients of the combine soldiers.

Just finished the game, pretty enoyable for the most part, just the dark flashlight segments gota bit irritating.

Game answered some questions and asked some new ones. happy:

Most of the source servers are populated by bots seeing as it snowhere near as popular as the original.

I tried playing the other night and found either servers loaded with fake spectators, bots or a few people and bots playing. =/

Not really, its continuing on the story an answering peoples questions on the game, whoever wants more of the story will buy it.

Like buying part of a series of books i suppose.

20 dollars for 6 hours, I hardly think so. Espically when people were so willing to fork out 50 dollars for Doom 3 which was about 10.

Doom 3 had about 20 hours of gameplay according to most reviews, funny thing is they thought that if id had half that then it would have been a ebtter game since people got bored of it half way through. annoy:

Just got threw Episode 1, it was pretty fun. 3/4 stars. I have to play Episode 2 now :)
