[quote="TGB!":980d0]Oh shut the fuck up - it is Sci-Fi. It may be smart Sci-Fi, but its still sci-fi. I hate tossers like you who can't admit to watching "geekshit" - like you have to apologize for your viewing habits.

And Trip - well just have to agree to disagree. . .what you call cliche - I simply call genre trappings; which I'm sure Children Of Men has much of as well.

nah, children of men really doesnt. Im not ashamed of watching sci-fi shows, just dont appreciate the application of a basement dwelling stereotype based on it. Also, I dislike the classification of a great show like BSG or Firefly as just another piece of geekshit like star trek or babylon 5 based soley on the fact that it takes place in space, when the writing and acting and realism surpass those others.

List some sci-fi trappings.

BSG is the best show on TV. Can't wait for the 4th season. Too bad it's like 8 months away.

Youre telling me theres no "reluctant hero", no "renegade scientist", no "former member of Big Brother turned humanitarian", no "female whos the cure for the world, who is also innocence personified" - really? Well shit I have to watch this movie then, since you're saying it doesn't follow any of these tried and true storytelling devices.

yes, no, and maybe?. Last one, not innocence personified, unless you mean the baby.

Kee's LACK of innocence is actually a pretty big departure from that particular trapping that I found quite refreshing
