o hi plan on it biggrin: i saw all those movies, and i actually talked to a retired drill instructor (my friends dad) he said its easy if u shut your mouth and just listen to everything they say. He said "hell they tell ya when to eat, sleep, excesice, wake up, you dont gotta worry" evil: im like "uh right! ill have fun cry: " MOS will probably be a grunt for a while than onto communications, for the big bucks, learn to build servers and shit, make real good money outside the miltary in communications. I that it was so class how they took nearly half of afghanistan in a massive push after the US bombed the hell out the taliban front line. The media had been saying how tough the taliban are (and in my opinion it was so when the inevitable allied victory of a town, then they could BS some more about how amazing our forces are) then when the little rebels with crappy guns and rockets sweep through the country.......i bet even our generals were surprised. (but never admit it)
Anyway on topic again;
I doubt i'll watch anything on sept 11th. A repeat of the media fest. Im not disrespectful or anything but i really hope my channels are not dedicated to sept 11th. I only get 5 of them and can imagine the BBC and ITV will have extended news all day showing americans pay respect, etc etc. It doesnt interest me. Im seriously not being disrespectful, but i just dont want to have my channels taken over by it. I work in a video store though so i'll make sure i take out some good movies for me and the missus to watch.

Why is he a jackass? its his choice to do what he wants on that day. I dont see very many youngsters going out of their way to pay respect on world war anniversarys, but all of a sudden anyone who doesnt watch tv on sept 11th is a jackass??

what i cant stand is when they have them amber alerts when some dumb kid gets kidnaped. the entire day most of the channels only show BS about kids getting kidnaped. I mean who fucking cares.

I heard about that on CNN today. I have never seen one though. I guess thats the advantage of getting American TV in Canada. You don't have to sit through stuff that saves kids lives.

i dont mind if they just say it a few times but once the damn kids been found they dont need to carry on. all they have to say is ok we found him and he is ok. they dont need to spend an entire week to show the damn kid recover from his experience. Our news just goes on and on and on about it. And all channels show the same damn thing, channel 5, 9, 11, 13, 43 er and some others. its like every fucking day u turn on the TV to relax but instead of your favorite show u get a fucking "special report, or news update.

by the way not all 3000 of those people were american, their were canadians, british & many people from other countries as well that died. even if something like that happened to canada i dont think i would want to relive it the next year. its not like its going to bring people back. i dont see the point of reliving it all.

I'm not going to spend a whole day watching interviews, coverage, memories, statements, etc. however i will try to watch a bit of it, i've shown my respect to the dead of my country and to all those involved in the disaster. Is september the 11th now a day of mourning? I feel that it should be if it isn't already. It'll probably bring a tear to the eye again if I watch constant flashbacks of it, its good to move on of course but you can never forget such an event.
You can do as you like on september 11th, no-one says you have to turn all your channels to that incident relived. Some people just won't be able to bear it again. remember how you felt on that day and then know how you feel now, the memories will always be there but once you do regular things again, get back to your routine and rediscover humour in other aspects of life, you'll feel that you've moved on and gotten through such a horrible period. its good to progress like this, so don't be annoyed that some people won't watch it. they have the right to have things out of sight and so therefore out of mind, but remember that its not as if they'll forget it, no-one can or will

on september 11th ill probably live my life as i normally would. to act differently or be scared of possible terrorist attacks is, in my opinion, letting the terrorists win.

however, all the novinas ill be saying will be going to the victims of 9/11...and to all others who have been effected by a tragedy.

On Sept 11 I'll get up at 7:00 and go to school and sit through 2 hours of stupid accounting and then sit through another two hours of statistics.

Then i'll go home, probably turn on the TV and computer. On CNN all that will be on is replays of the attacks. I'll watch a bit and change the channel to the CBC where i'm sure they'll have some sort of tribute as well. I'll watch that pay my respects in the best way I can and then sit on the computer for hours on end until the end of the day.

I hated bush, but after 9-11 hes acted like a good prez, no one sees that but smart ppl like me
