It's not nessicerly that we don't want to go to war (which we really don't, but I'm trying to make a point, so, yeah) but we Can't. We've sent more troops to Afghanastan and don't have the free military resources to contribute to a war in Iraq. Maybe if the stupid politicians back east would use some common sense and raise the military budget, we could, but I doubt that will be happening anytime soon. hake:

[quote="Old Reliable":42c85]good, if I were canada I would not get involved in this mess. although if there are going to be great profits in Iraq, canada will lose out. oh well, better to have lives than money[/quote:42c85]

that is probably the more educated thing i have ever heard u say

The dollar falling is inconsequential. The dollar always fluctuates then rebounds. That is just international economics. The dollar always comes out on top. The whole global economy is getting hit by this recession.

pest 03-18-2003 07:42 AM

The markets went up 3.5% yesterday. Expect more of the same today. The bottom fell out of oil futures. Venezuela is shipping oil again. Expect gas prices to drop.

Is the dollar strong or weak? Who cares? If it is strong, great. If it is weak, then we export more based on favorable conditions for the buyers. It is still worth a dollar in the US.

War does good things to the economy.

The US is not going to take a financial beating because of this.

A HUNGRY FATMAN 03-18-2003 07:43 AM

I'm glad we might not go to Iraq, our military has SERIOUS logistical and funding problems. It just won't be smart, besides, I think the current coalition as more than enough resources to deal with Saddam.

Big Jake 03-18-2003 01:10 PM

So does this mean that all 5 Canadians aren't going to help? J/K Canada has been a good ally
But oh well, we'll go without them The Force is strong with us swordfight: swordfight: swordfight: swordfight:
