ok yeah the corsairs were good in the air. What I was trying to say is that for the first couple of years after it was produced the corsair was good only once you got it in the air, and even then a hard plane to control if you were unexpierenced in it. A little touchy it was, and I know im right. as for pappy slugging me. He would punch all of you for thinging you know everything and you really dont. Talk to a vet of ww2 who flew a corsair. yeah they were great planes when they worked right. but they didnt always work right.

i almost have my pilots license. Once down at a air museum i saw 2 p51d's buzz the airport a few times. its that sound they make, its unexplainable, pure raw power... i was amazed. ever sense i was a kid ive always wanted to sit in that cockpit

Those p51 are pretty impressive. Those huge supercharged powerplants will make the ground shake.

What are you training in and how many hours you got left? I have a very out of date private lincense. Most of my hours are in cessna 150, 172 and 182s.
