its this guys first hand account of his expierence in ww2. And unlike most memoirs that are written 50 years + after they happend, this guy wrote this while he was a pow after the war. Everything is vivid and fresh and gives an acururate portrayel of life as a soldier in the waffen ss.[/quote:c9fd8]


what division is he in? which front? is there any well known battles in the book? (last questions)

Band of Brothers, and there was also this WW1 Trilogy i read that took place in a military hospital in england, and the treatments they used on soldiers for shell shock and other disorders. It was a really intense series, but I can't think of the name, If I remember I'll post it

BTW I think All Quite On The Western Front is both a good read and a good movie. I recently picked up the dvd. Check out the French sniper!
