I have a lot of respect for the USMC & must emphasise that they are good soldiers, but most grunts are not of the highest intellect. I hope Hollywood doesnt f this up & make it into some propoganda, flag waving bs & maybe try to make a movie from a realistic & true life perspective.

And yes, Merlin. The Jessica Lynch Story was a made-for-TV movie. Obviously over-hyped, shitty, rushed out, and untrue. Probably just like this falluja movie will be.

Only real dumb thing i can think off offhand is a story i read about an raf pilot landing a chinook near a group of american soldiers, then they opened fire on him. oOo:

The pilot shouted something like "whens the last time you seen an iraqi in a fucking chinook" then proceeded to kick the shit out of some of the soldiers. biggrin:

True gerard, but you cant blame one event on the entire Marine corp. Shit it wasnt even the fucking Marines. It was the army, and also you dont know the true story, theres always 2 sides of a story you know.

Well i can't find an article on it, only thing i can find is a forum post it says the pilot started a punchup with the marine in charge, mighta been army mighta been marines, can't really tell unless i find the original article. Too tired to do so though. oOo:

I think this movie will be awesome. Its hard to fuck up a movie like this...heroic marines slaughter evil iraqis for the good of mankind....and with harrison in command we can only expect it to show one big ass kicking rock:
