That's what I was going to say. Why just take the tail and leave perfectly good meat lying on the ground? If you're not gonna eat it, don't shoot it.

meh...i don't see the point to hunting...I don't see how holding up a deers head and so on, is any worse in a moral sense than holding a human head that has been decapitated.

In the sense of just killing it for fun without intent to eat.
