I kinda agree with you there for the French arming of the Argentines during the Falklands war. But just because their government disagreed with an illegal pre-emptive strike & war on a country that does not posess nuclear weapons is hardly a reason for prejudice.

i personally think this is the only way the US could mount a successful attack on iran. the troop commitment in iraq is much too high, and to pull out the necessary forces wouldnt be the most intelligent move. unless a draft is reinstated (which is a possibility, although it would be limited to people with certain skills) i couldnt see the US giving Iran a full war effort other than bombing them into submission while israeli forces do the dirty work. a US-sponsored coup is another likely strategy. i dont know how they're going to do it, but there is almost definitely going to be some kind of US-backed action.
