MacBeth has neither "idealism" or "courage" - his "strength" isnt derived from personal fortitude but his CONFIDENCE in the prophecies of the three witches. MacBeth is a villain. . .bottom line. Youre taking the definition far to plainly and literally. . .if this were the case EVERY villain would be an "anti-hero". . . |
