I’m getting the ICS, mostly for its "noob" feature of easily accessed internals. Hell that’s why allot of people I’ve talked to who own them say they like them, INTERNAL OPTIONS. While you may say its noobish (or your friend) it offers the ability to swap out whole internals in a snap changing weapon characteristics, FPS most noticeably. That naturally effects ballistics and so forth. So for a given game situation, say long range, you can have your 400 FPS parts in. Then for an indoor/cqb event you can swap out to a much slower set of internals, or a field limited FPS set. Try it with your weapon and have fun.
I’m sorry but I wouldn’t shit on a major advancement in weapon design by saying its for n00bs. I've heard that G&G is a fine manufacturer, but I can’t justify the cost difference seeing how ive heard nothing but praise for the ICS. With its one and only features, including a useful (non mock) forward assist. It seems to be a clear choice in its class. |

Green gas pistols shoot around 300-350 fps. The strike of one of the plastic BBs isnt quite as paintful as paintballs are. Also the goggles you wear aka paintball goggles or military goggles are ballistic proof. Meaning they can stop a .22. Edit: Someone stop deleteing all the posts. |
I have an ICS, and they're good guns. Only problem is, upgrade it past a 130 spring, it tends to have problems.. like not firing all the time, and if you hit the forward assist too much, you'll bust the piston.. I did.
Last game, Ed and I were walking down the path after a firefight we both survived, and another guy I know (opposing team) popped up from the bushes. I saw him first, went to fire.. and all I heard was "click". I thought we were both screwed. But thank god Ed saw him a split second after me, and fired just in time. And afterwards, he had the impression I saw the opposing team mate and just didn't fire.. and looked at me like I'm a moron. wallbash: Heres my ICS beauty.. I still say go ICS, just if you upgrade it.. you need a seriously strong battery to push past the jamming.. and if your battery is too weak, and you stop firing in mid shot (while gears are wound up), and need to hit the forward assist.. try to not do that too much, because it'll break the fragile piston. Or, since they're so easy to upgrade, get a new piston and spring, and slap em both in there at the same time. But everyones left something out of the picture here.. the TM ak's. Yeah, they're a bitch to upgrade, but the V.3 gearbox is so reliable. I've only had one probolem.. when I didn't clean it for like a month, and it finally jammed in mid-firefight. The TM ak's are twice as accurate, twice as reliable, and twice as durable than most of the guns out there. And heres my twice as accurate, twice as durable, and twice as reliable TM Ak Spetsnaz Beita I had to throw my brothers 6.04 tightbore in the ICS to make it half as accurate as the AK.. and the AK still has the stock barrel (6.05). Something about AK's just makes em rock harder than most stock and upgraded guns. Also, on Gas pistols, I know two or three people that argue that although the round only flies at 250-320fps, it'll hurt more than AEG's because something with air behind the BB. And others think they're stupid. Personally, I don't care.. as long as the gun works. And no.. I'm not Busta-Gat. Edit again: If you intend on getting a gun to upgrade, don't get any Tokyo Marui M16 variant, less' you have money to spend.. alot of money. The barrel wobble is a killer. And, take Bustas gun (in the pic), he's had so many upgrades, and so many people fiddle with it.. he's lucky when it fires. It's a TM, as well.. with plastic body, I believe. Now, if you leave a gun alone, it'll work forever. But when you upgrade a gun, expect stuff to go wrong. But expect more kills, too mwah: |
Ill stick with my Tokyo Mauri. Even though it doesnt have a Metal body.
