Why pay for console-internet access (like Xbox LIve). It's not like they are giving you another way to get on the internet, your using your own internet and then paying to access it with your Xbox. That to me is a scam...
That is why PS2>Xbox (and hopefully Sony is smart enough to realize this for their super-expensive PS3, even though it will get them a shiite load of money). |

For what you get with xbox live, which is a very enabled and great online gaming facility its very worth it, unlike the poor crap ps2 shit, WHICH you have to buy a network adapter to use for sub standard online gaming with a shite bunch of online enabled games. i wont be buying this xbox 360 anywhere in the near future as im saving for the next apple powerbook. but anyway read this article it sums up the perfect argument: http://eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=59484 |

double post but anyway. i agree with comatsoe. with games like doom3, halo, halo 2, far cry instincts half life 2 coming and others i may not know of, on the xbox the fps genre is quite good, and the online aspects of it aswell. xbox offers low cost for decent fps, rather than spending thousands to pay for a decent enough pc system to play doom3 at a bare minimum setting. |

Aside from that, I play football games, and that alone is not enough for me to spend half of a computer. If I buy anything it's going to be the PS3, and that's only if/when prices go down on the PS3. I'll just go over to some guy's house and mooch off of him until that day comes. biggrin: |
I bought madden 06 for the PC and it sucked compared to the PS2 version.

yeah, sports games are more suited for consoles... but the games are becoming overly complicated (in my view) when every single button does something different if you hold a back button or two. I hate the games for PS2 where they make the D-Pad have uses other than directions (like choosing strategies, which pisses me off since i feel the pad is more convient then the joystick position)

Agreed. I've always hated using the analog joysticks for PS2, but I've played a few PS2 games that don't let you change it so I've gotten a little more used to it. |

I was so angry when I bought NHL 2004 couple years ago and they didn't let me change it so i could use the D-Pad. I'm still glad though that EA hasn't changed a thing on the Madden/NCAA series in that area (even though the O/X buttons were switched, but you could fix that). |
In some games, I prefer joystick over D-Pad..although in MGS2, the joystick pissed me off soooo much in certain areas where you needed the uber-sensivite touch of a D-Pad.

Waste of money, ill buy myself a better PC for that kind of $$.

I think the pressure sensative buttons make a huge diffrence in games. Becuase madden 06 for the PC is a lot worse than madden 06 for the PS2. Only reason i use my comp is for the internet, FPS games, and music....and occasionally homework when i feel like it.
