Yeah most of my friends never understood the context of it either and they of course hated it saying it was to depressing etc..

I read Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises just last month. Outstanding book.

Ah summers me and you would get along fine..thats some good literature right there. Trying to get my hands on Vonnegut's A man without a country but no bookstore around here sells it.. oOo:

I read that book back in the day but forgot what it was about. I really don't have time to read novels but i can't seem to put down a Clancy novel if i pick one up.

Had a hard time putting down "FlyBoys". Great book.

I love Camus. The Stranger was excellent, and his short story The Guest was also very good.

I love Hemingway. The Sun Also Rises was brilliant, the fishing scene was so surreal and picaresque.

And Anti, he just seemed to imply it. A lot of books I have read that arent classics were amazing, and they were all "forced upon" me. The school makes people read things for a reason.

ive read catcher in the rye, i didnt think it was too bad but i didnt pay very close attn to it

plus i had to read muuuuuch worse books in hs like nectar in a sieve and to kill a mockingbird uggggghhhhh

enders game is still the best book ive had to read for school...
